Perhaps pedophile groups could be renamed child adult sexual liaison partnerships. Perhaps environmentalists could be renamed economic activity reduction and solution avoidance partnerships. Still leaves us with how to rebrand the Lib dems though.

GET RID OF THE 'DEATH CAMERAS'
Next Story | Previous Story | Back to list

11:00 - 05 July 2005
So, we now know that despite the "steady rise" in the number of speed cameras and PC road engineering, road deaths and serious injuries in Avon and Somerset and in Wiltshire actually increased last year ('More die on region's roads', July 1). There has been a steady decline in road deaths and injuries nationally for years, due largely to advancements in car safety features, but then along come the lefties to turn our roads into a political battlefield and ruin every positive advancement.

The notion that speed is to blame for many road deaths is a lie. Speed cameras are not about safety, they are about raising revenue.

The more speed cameras we have, the more deaths we have. Therefore the Safety Camera Partnership's preferred epithet of "safety camera" should actually be replaced with "death camera". The ultimate conclusion is that stupidity, rather than speed, kills.

Disagree ever SOooo slightly Delta , (me old mucker), Not just NU-Labour, but the whole of the western world who are desperately striving to off-load service costs of ANY description, including your state/company PENSION in order to compete with the third world.

It's ALL a big cost cutting exercise decided at these G8 thingy's, YOU pay, instead of them, the Polluter pays! (as Maggie said).

YOU are the polluter. (in their eyes). So more cameras - Less Trafpol.

MANY MANY THANKS TO T2000, BRAKE,GENTLMEN of the SCP's, and ALL the other numpties! This IS what YOU have been fighting for, Do YOU realise that? Now we can all get as Hissed as we like! drive 'ome waving ALL over the road, hit as many parked cars and pedestrians as we like! (because really, they DON'T care about our SAFETY. Just the COST of enforcing it!)........as long as we DON'T speed therefore! we, (hic!) will be safe...........and won't get caught!

P.S. I hear tonight that they: (the capitalists) are even closing factories in Africa! Christ! how LOW do we have to go to keep ours?

Look at the protection provided for 8 men at Auchterarder! I wish we could get a tenth of the same when we need it!

First rule Delta, know your enemy! P.S. Next time you see a Scam-Van, try weaving all over the road like you're drunk, see what happens!(below the speed limit of course)
