If you want to look really sad, but with legal spacing, go for a BO55 ??? plate.

£100 fine
Darkest Dimchurch at 22.30 board coppers...
I've seen those board coppers in the entrance to shops to deter shoplifters - very realistic when they're full size.

I'm not reading through 3 pages of edgelords circlejerking off about what makes you look like a cock and what doesnt.

However, someone please answer me this;

There's so many of these stupid illegal plates knocking around, and they are confirmed MOT failures. Are you telling me that every single one of these chobbers is going to the hassle of swapping plates before and after an MOT to get it through, or are MOT testers just universally st and not dealing with it?

I very much doubt M155 EMA or K3LSY are on their knees at 8am on the driveway with a phillips changing the plates around before it goes in for test at 9am.

Can't speak for the other chobbers but I did, yes.

You two really should put your lives up on here as an example of how i should be living my life and what my buying decisions should be. bow
"you look a dick" really is quite unnecessary isn't it?

Not saying it's right or wrong but this is PH, you asked people their thoughts on a divisive subject, you got some, you shouldn't be surprised they're not all in your camp.

It's the internet - have a laugh and get over it.

I am having a laugh about it because i knew what would happen. Like you say, it's PH which like all forums is full of keyboard warriors. Yes, the subject is divisive but people really don't need to be unpleasant to each other to get their view across.... or do they?
I actually eluded to the fact that i will probably be fitting the plate in the correct way didn't i? I too am on the haters side when it comes to tinted plates (they just look dirty to me), gel plates (they look blurred at night with the lights shining down on the raised letters) and plates where the letters and/or numbers have to be altered to look different to what they should be. I just wondered whether an extra space on an otherwise legal plate made it a little less 'naughty' than one like on the revolting mercedes pictured above or whether anything other than 100% legal is in the absolute no no category so do not do it.
To call me a narcissist and all the other insults because i asked about something which really isn't important in the grand scheme of things does seem a bit overkill doesn't it?
He goes on about his porsches and ferraris etc and how he's ignoring the lockdown rules to collect a car from somewhere and calls me a narcissist etc for asking abount an extra space on a number plate for my 15 year old banger car laugh tt

Glad you see the funny side. At the end of the day I wouldn't alter it anywhere away from normal spacing. I don't mind private plates - I have Irish ones on mine but the number means something to me - collar number for 30 years service! Can't stand incorrect spacing - just looks cheap and nasty............and illegal - is it worth the hassle if you get pulled? Could be just a vehicle defect form or could be a stiff fine depending on who stops you.

Why on earth would M155 EMA need to change the plates? Perfectly good as they are...

Its either legal or it isn't, its as simple as that, the choice is yours.

I really don't get the obsession with 'private' plates in this country, it would be much better if we used the Spanish way of doing it.
What is "the Spanish way of doing it"?

I’ve never been sure why people hide their registration numbers online but drive the car round with it on full display to the whole world. There must be a reason but not sure what it is so at the risk of finding out the hard way but to put the thread into context this is what i’ve bought.

Or...... OH 51 FFS?

I have no idea why or what it means.

M155 EMA is perfectly legal. Anyway, how do you know that either Miss Emma or Kelsy do not in fact spend time on their knees on the driveway with a bloke called Phillips of an evening?
