There's the four biggest who own over 95% of England's MSA's.
That sign doesn't say anything about no return within two hours. Just a maximum 2hr stay. What does other signage say ?
What a crap sign.

You'd think they'd run their copy past someone who could read & write, before making the sign (i.e. not Google translate).

If you park you agree to pay all vehicles first 2 hours free - thereafter
So...I'm agreeing to pay for everyone's first 2 hours, which are free thereafter?

£100 if you to pay or park incorrectly or park in a non- designated area or conduct...
So...£100 fine if I fail to park incorrectly, or if I fail to park in a non-designated area!

So no fine if I successfully park incorrectly, and/or if I successfully park in a non-designated area?

I think that's a pretty good effort for a private parking company. Create confusion and doubt and that's more ammo to fine more drivers. Legitimate fines won't pay the bills. They need to create fear in innocent motorists paying their invoices. Look at most PPC's and they are run by mouthbreathers who get into the latest scam - Big Mouth Billy Bass, loom bands, vaping, face masks with football club logos on etc.

The salient points seem pretty clear.
And then there is numerous more signs all over the parking areas with the basic info clearly displayed.

Not particularly. 2 hours per what? Per lifetime, per stay, can't return within x hours etc?

Depends on your level of pedantry, those signs are only up due to Peetakers like in many other places.

Unfortunately supermarkets near hospitals have had to start taking a tougher stance.
Supermarkets near airports etc

You get the drift all down to selfish twunts ?

Not exactly a logical and lucid response. All down to twunts it may be, but the sign does not clearly define the salient points which would be trivial to do.

See Decksters response.

I was comparing MSA's parking restrictions to more stringent parking restrictions becoming more common.
Why are you insisting on using pedantry to protect selfish twunts ?
It's 2 hours free then pay or fook off rather than looking for loopholes and excuses to fit your own agenda.

Just pay the £12 and claim the money back on expenses.

Do you not think so? If I turned up at the Service station and saw the sign that said “Free Parking for 2 hours” I’d make a mental note to clear off after 2 hours or pay the extra. You’re right in that it doesn’t cover EVERY eventuality but I’m guessing that it covers 99% of people?

AIUI they don’t like people using SAs as temporary business offices/meeting rooms and that’s why they put a limit on the time. That seems fair enough to me - their gaff, their rules.
