I have said all along in my opinion from my observation.......I am not or have never tried to prove it with ONS data. the ONS data is merely to point out there are recorded deaths which someone stated there werent as fact.

The bit above about paraceteamol is just to highlight you cant interpret the numbers in isolation or the 'reasons' for death particularly.

I haven't made any statements of fact such as...."There are no recoded deaths due to Cannabis"........... what I have done is disprove that with factual data and prior to that offered my opinion based on my life experience in prisons etc.

The readers can decide whether they see this life experience as more valuable than the views of a casual(non casual) 'user' who is clearly pro cannabis biased. Also as already stated, I don't care either way as it wont affect my life of my experiences.
So now it's in your opinion from your observation rather than cold hard facts laugh Would you like to move the goalposts again?

.
So in my very first post on the topic i said 'In my vew' its not that hard to understand that's 'my view' is it, I haven't changed the goalposts AT ALL.

Perhaps something is impairing your brain function........

So you've been flip-flopping then. Ok sure.

Yeah, the Devil's Lettuce I smoked at Easter is impairing my brain function today laugh Why aren't you responding to anything with substance I and others have posted? Being selective isn't exactly adding strength to your opinions.

You said "in my view" whilst then saying there are actual statistics to back it up. Without providing any. scratchchin

That aside, it's ridiculous views like this that prevent a proper discussion/research taking place on anything drug-related.

I'll ask again, did you watch that video that was posted earlier? The one with the actual expert talking about how harmful certain drugs are versus others.

Unless anyone has any kind of actual relevant experience in the filed other than "well, I saw two, and then another two, and by combining them have ended up with 7 and therefore as it fits my own point of view it must be correct", then it's pretty hard to argue with almost everything the guy in the video is saying. Especially when his list of credentials is as long as my arm.

Your "view" is exactly that; worthless without anything of substance to back it up. As is mine, before you say it. Which is why there needs to be some form of research and evaluation carried out.

All that aside, do you agree with the statement that if it were discovered today, alcohol would be a Class A drug?

How is that a factor in anything? It's not as easy as picking magic mushrooms and they are class A

What?!

Like he said^, what has that got to do with anything?

Let me narrow it down; based on the effects alone, would alcohol be banned if discovered today?

I’ve already answered it see above. Although I fail to see what that proves?

And magic mushrooms are nowhere near as freely available as the means to make alcohol. It’s far to prevalent to make it a class A.

Ah of course! I forgot you could go and pick bottles of wine in a field.
And you used to be able to buy magic mushrooms in shops legally, most towns would have a shop or market where you could buy them if you knew where to look. The government still made them illegal.
I don't agree with much that you have said, 5 years in the prison system isn't any indication of the real world.
I know people that have smoked weed since they were teenagers and are fit and healthy and holding down good jobs (some even in the prison system - shock horror!)
Growing up (teens/early 20's) I knew 3 people that died, one who was a very close friend. All 3 died as a direct result of alcohol consumption. Of all the weed smokers I know (myself included - 20 years and only quit for a job) they are all still alive and thriving. So keep your secret stats, and your ridiculous ideas about why alcohol isn't illegal, and you experience in one tiny section of society.
No substance is without its dangers, and anyone that argues against weed but not alcohol is living in cuckoo land

They got all excited a few years ago with the very first case of a death caused by cannabis use.
Unfortunately for those desperate to demonize weed, it was later determined that it was unlikely to have been the cause of death.

Oh right so my very large scale observations are irrelevant but your three pot smoking pals is a viable sample right?

Are you so desperate to ban sugar then seeing as that’s a highly addictive mass killer?

By the way if I want to make some alcohol to get violently pissed on (I meant physically violent too) I need a bucket. Some sugar. Some fruit, a kettle and a sock. That’s it.

So yeah alcohol is about a million times easier to get hold of than mushrooms you fool

To be fair, the thread has descended into a succession of repetitive point scoring bickering.

Agreed, but to be fair he could have just ignored it like he has to many other posts. Getting het up by random people on the internet isn't healthy.

Erm no, you've answered the question "COULD it be banned?".

The ACTUAL question was "WOULD it be banned?".

So, try again.

Wow you've seen some drugs, you must be the authority on everything then.
I've seen lots of racing cars, so I must be a racing driver.
I'm done with this conversation, you are so sure you are right about everything nothing will penetrate your bubble of righteousness.
I would say have a good day, but I can't even bring myself to say it sarcastically to you.

More than you apparently realise. They're quite common, pretty easy to find if you know what you're looking for. There's almost certainly some growing wild within ten mins of your front door.

And whilst everyone else (and the facts) agree than cannabis is much less harmful than alcohol, mushrooms are significantly less harmful again.

Another middle class knob who thinks everyone has fields 10 minutes from the front door....... I noticed the abundance of mushroom fields as I walked through Walthamstow and Leyton the other day, past all the homeless people drinking booze surrounded by needles........ if only they knew they could pop to the field for some lovely safe mushrooms to pop home with and boil up on mummys aga while she's at the gym.

I'll say it again, there are kids on estates in every major city who are taking drugs (and alcohol) destined for a life of crime that have never seen a field or a sheep or any natural green space.
