No Mask, No Entry, No Exceptions

This thread reminds me of the end of old field raves. The party is over, any one with any sense has long gone home and all thats left is a handful of gibbering wrecks, too fked to go back to normal society, waffling random words at anyone who will listen. Nothing they say means anything anymore, yet they don't have the capacity to just sober up and go home.
Don't be too harsh; some of what you post is worthwhile. hucumber said:

Now that’s one for the flashback thread;) CharlesdeGaulle said:

You really must get an SC430 to make up for it
More updates from Taiwan:
we are down to < 10 cases a day, yesterday was 4, day before was 6.
We are on Level 2 restrictions, masks must be worn at all times after leaving your home with the exception of actually eating in a restaurant.
Restaurants must sit guests in a zig-zag pattern, masks worn at all times unless eating.
Limit of 50 people for an indoor non-essential gathering (Church, Gym, Cinema etc), 100 for outdoor.
total number of cases (2020 + 2021) 14,500, 800 deaths, 1st does vaccine stands at 40%
Hopefully the outdoor mask rule will stop in 10 days time but the rumour is it will stand perhaps forever for all public transportation as it is credited with vastly reducing flu cases.

Flew with Lufthansa the other day - member of cabin staff woke me up to tell me my mask had slipped down and was no longer covering my nose and to fix it.
.... which you did without argument, to ensure you complied with their policy???NGee said:

Yep if the staff can’t be arsed to even give a nod to it at front of house then it’s doubtful they are operating anything at all behind the scenes. They won’t get my custom.
What a very weird assumption. But hey? "Follow the rules" and "Be kind"? Yesterday there was a chap outside a supermarket parked in the 'pick up/drop off only' bay. He gets out, puts his mask on, and goes into the store leaving his car parked where it shouldn't be, despite a largely empty, free car park with empty spaces literally a handful of yards away. Seems that you only have to follow selected rules, and not actually be very kind at all. So long as you are virtue-signaling your rule-following and kindness to others the rest of the time you can be as selfish as you please...

Whats the exemption for?"Get a mask on or you're getting off" was what I heard said to one bloke as soon as he set foot inside the cabin (I was sat in 1C). He did as he was told.
Another flight another bloke arguing he was exempt (at point of boarding again) and cabin manager/purser asked him where his documented proof of medical exemption was and why he hadn't discussed with check-in staff before. He put his mask on - it was in his pocket.
Surprised that BA are being so slack on this.

I've done a few flights on various airlines recently (business trips) and cabin crew were taking no crap regarding masks from what I saw.

BA aren’t being slack, they’re following the U.K. government’s guidelines. Airlines from other countries follow their countries rules."Get a mask on or you're getting off" was what I heard said to one bloke as soon as he set foot inside the cabin (I was sat in 1C). He did as he was told.
