School kids don’t wear masks anymore, (quite rightly, they never should have had to imo), why is that? If masks actually did anything they should have to wear them, the fact they don’t means no one should have to wear them.

It’s just an example that masks are quite literally pointless.
Masks allow politicians to say that they’re taking action even though it’s pointless.

Oh and Betty Blue Rinse may feel safer.

That’s been answered many times in this and other threads.

Had cause to stop at a motorway services yesterday and was appalled at how few were wearing masks

Accepting that there are legitimate and genuine medical reasons why a tiny percentage cannot wear masks, the utter recklessness of a large number is disgusting
Good, these pointless nonsensical rules need to be ignored. It’s not cannot wear masks, it will not. I count myself among them.

Waiting for the inevitable and irrelevant insults. whistle

What is it about a mask that upsets you so?

Do you think it's doing you harm?
Harm, probably not no. Very, very uncomfortable and unpleasant though.

Has anyone seen any demographic analysis of the persons who could, but refuse to take the jab? [Age, political bias etc..]
I doubt such analysis exists

What life of restriction?

Do you really view wearing a mask whilst you wander round a supermarket as that much of a restriction?
I find wearing mask/muzzle very restricting, uncomfortable and imo dehumanising.

No longer an issue tho as I’ve stopped using them.

I disagree. I don't think face coverings make any significant difference to any covid transmission. Properly fitted medical grade masks, perhaps, but not the sort I see people wearing out and about. So, not obvious in my opinion.
What's your opinion based on?

This is exactly what I was expecting to be honest.

One article, out of many, that just so happens to agree with your POV, regardless of the evidence.

Unsurprising.
How many articles would you like? A Google search will find differing opinions on masks/muzzles.

So it appears that all the "pro" arguments boil down to, "the government says do this, and they know best, so you should do it".
There's a noticable lack of any analysis, data, or other evidence. Just endless appeals to authority, repeating of government soundbites, and a sort of blind trust that our masters have our best interests at heart. And with that, the ever-present desire to force others to think and do as they do, not to question, just to accept.
Couldn’t resist this:-

Yeah, like I said before, no-one here takes you seriously.
My world just ended. weepinggetmecoat

Seriously fella, lighten up. Lots of people refer to muzzles, call it a bit of light relief.

Sorry to butt in, gentlemen. Just wanted to say that I think BC's posts are mostly good, and I take them seriously, as one does in a civilised debate.
So your assertion is both rude, and wrong, thewarlock.
You do? And you're not just saying that.

Could you give an example please?
Sure; I was drawn to this thread by BC's opening post: "I don’t want to start another pro/anti mask debate, there’s been a few of those.
I’ve passed a few mainly smaller shops and cafes with signage saying you cannot enter without a mask, no exceptions. Does this contravene disability laws?"

Although it has turned into a pro/anti mask debate to be fair. These things happen.
Thank you sir. biggrin

Yes the thread has certainly changed direction. Inevitable I suppose.

I’m in my local pub. Not a muzzle in sight.

The pub was very strict at the start but now they’re as peed off as the rest of us.

It's some obsession you have that even when you get out to a pub you're still on here posting about masks.

Enjoy your night and stop letting masks consume your life.
I was waiting for my pals to turn up. They did, we had a few beers and now I’m home. drunk

So if nobody cares about masks, nobody's wearing a mask in the pub and nobody's uncomfortable mixing with the 'won't wear one's, why are the pubs empty?
The pubs aren’t as busy as they should be because of the restrictions. My mates and I were stood in the pub drinking yesterday evening. We were advised to sit down if the council Covid marshal turns up.
