Its not the mask but a deepseated issue the peson has, and it seems to be a particular type of person that struggles with the thought of following rules. They say that the rules dont apply to them and use a multitude of excuses to achieve the non compliance. sad individuals and a terrible terrible way to live life, so much so that they try to make everyone else that promotes mask wearing as some wierdo.

That they root about to find studies and professional opinions to back them up when there are countless studies and professional opinions that state that a mask is indeed beneficial, then they agree but try to say no one wears them that they are incorrectly worn, etc. Usualy the ones incorrectly wearing them are similar to the deniers, wearing the mask incorrectly and a passive aggresive stance to signal thier displeasure and non compliance.

All the face lanyards and excuses...

'tards indeed. but the majority of people that are abiding by the rules and doing what they can to help with the efforts to control seem to see them for what they are and are no longer engaging. whats the point, no matter what you say they are going to come back with a few half backed answers and actually best just to give them a wide berth.
If I'd known you were able to analyse my mental health and my 'deep-seated' issues from a couple of lines in a forum post I could have saved myself so much time with counselling, CBT and the like. Perhaps you could finish your diagnosis and tell me what the root cause is? It's even nicer to know that you consider me to be a 'tard (how very progressive of you) even though I am following the rules, much as I hate them. I presume you have never broken any rules in your life, never copied a CD, gone over the speed limit by a couple of mph etc?

I think RS's post is actually in support of yours - you have removed yourself from situations where you need to wear a mask, and when you need to wear a mask you do so. Therefore, you do abide by the rules despite your difficulties, and I think that this is clear to all.

I think (I hope!) that what RS is trying to say is that you abide by the rules despite your real difficulties, yet there are so many people who come up with a multitude of made up excuses or outright lies to defy the rules. I can envisage a number of scenarios which could've led to your situation, and none of them are pleasant; therefore, I wouldn't ask or expect you to divulge what those are to bunch of strangers on an internet forum (as a side note to others, I think it would be better to show a bit more understanding and not try to delve further). As Pixelpeep Z4 has already said, you are one of the true heroes and should be congratulated. You deserve far more respect and recognition for tolerating a mask for 10 minutes than I would if I were to wear one 24 hours a day.

I'm no hero, I shouldn't let a piece of material affect me the way it does, but thank you, and others, for the kind words. With hindsight you are right about what ruggedscotty was trying to say, it can be quite difficult at times to pick up nuances in online posts - please accept my apologies for the sarcasm and rudeness in my response RS.

Derr - of course you do - you must show that you are afraid, complying, malleable, following what the govt tells you. Be a good drone.

"exempt"

simples and then

Smiles. smile

When you smile at people you can see them relax and then they take of their mask to smile back or chat. Try it.

Not been denied entry to any shop so far over the last month of going muzzleless. Only asked once and said "exempt" and no issues.

Be brave - if you want to wear one then do so Im not stopping you - if you dont then dont. If you want to get jabbed then do so. if you dont then dont. Its amazing how much people like to tell others what to do - fek off. im not telling you what to do - leave me alone.

Ah that good old contagious rain.

Do you put your hood up or use an umbrella when out in the rain?

Would you put the roof up in a convertible in torrential rain?

Word....it's easy when you've done it a few times. Nobody in actual real life tends to give a st. All that do are on here and Twitter it seems.

it seems you are under the impression that putting your hood up or using an umbrella will protect others from getting wet.

Have you had a test, and have you been into contact with anyone, or touched anything that could have been con taminated with covid ?

the thing with a mask is that it reduces the spread - when a mask is worn properly it has been shown to reduce the spread.

unless you have done a test and know then you are vulnerable to the virus... and to catching and spreading it.

like an mot 1 mile down the road its no longer valid if you light blows etc...

That’s wrong. The MOT will still be valid.

I don't have Covid 19. It's that simple. I don't need my blood pressure, cholesterol level or eyesight checking to know this, so the MOT analogy is another useless one.

FWIW, I also still know no one in my social or professional circle who has caught CV19, least of all died from it. All this time later, no one. Nada, zilch, zero.

So, the question remains, if a person doesn't have CV19 why do they have to wear a mask? There is no risk of passing on an illness if you don't have the illness.

Because it's easier to just tell everybody to do something than actually think about it.

Plus the population was scared into believing we were all going to die of Covid-19 last year, but now we're all wearing masks we are completely safe.

The only thing that's affected those I know has been multiple redundancies, due to the governments over the top response to a fairly mild seasonal respiratory illness.

If I saw a high proportion of friends, family and colleagues dropping dead, I may be able to take this seriously.
