Oops! Bang to rights.

Duel carriage way which is 50, camera van caught me at 69. NIP received today.

None of it matters but clear and sunny, 0733, no other cars.

Returned NIP today stating I was the driver, anyone give me a steer on what to expect?

Clean licence. All taxed and insured etc.

Will keep updated with outcome.

Those of us that cruise at 78 mph on the motorway will need to start being more cautious if this catches on.

NIPping people doing <10% + 2 above the posted limit. Evidentially this occurrence is unprecedented.

There's been a few posters claiming to have been done for less that 10% + 2. But none have provided proof.

Including, I’m willing to bet, this one.

I’ve just completed a speed awareness course for 35 in a 30. I always thought 10% plus 2 was ok but obviously not!!

That's the normal starting point.

30 + 10% + 2 = 35

The guidelines are enforcement shoudn't usually start below speed limit + 10% +2
i.e. Once you reach 35 in a 30 you're fair game.

Goodbye 45 years without getting done!!!! Speed awareness course coming up.

Not happy but st happens.
It's strange....the 100% failure rate of people who post an image of a NIP under the 10%+2 threshold...

I can only imagine they misread it the first time, and then, when they go to scan it, realise their mistake, and quit the internet in embarrassment.

Also slightly amused to see Brummie guy being annoyed at finally getting caught. Surely the pleasure of 45 years of not being caught will counter it somewhat.

I'm sure in a small percentage of cases it is a simple misread, but in a lot of cases it's just to "fuel the outrage".
I got caught at 35/30 doesn't really get any these days, post it and you'll get loads of "Yer, so have millions of us".
But claim 32/30 or 52/50 and it's the "outrage" of it all and the complete waste of time and how they should all be out catching murderers.....

Of the numerous years I've followed these kind of threads and the claims, and the certainties and the "well I'm not lying" posts - I think I've only ever seen one for <10% +2 and that wasn't even England, got a feeling it was a Scotland one, it was a very long time ago and was a hand-written, so not automatic camera issued.

Don’t recall being annoyed. All I said was that I wasn’t happy. Don’t think that counts as being annoyed.

45 years driving without being caught seems like a hell of a run to me. Don’t think you can really complain given how many times you must’ve got away with it before.

Quite possible in Bristol. I'm surprised actually driving a car into the centre isn't illegal yet.

And the NIP you said you’d post?
