My old Forester was written off by a young lad who pulled out in front of me.
Claimed directly off his insurer notified mine.

NO increase in premiums.
Indeed after more years driving than I can remember with out a claim, I had 2 in the space of 3 years, both rear ended waiting at lights, one by a car and then by a van, no apparent increase in premium, in fact when the renewal came through after the 2nd one 2 years ago it was less than the year before. One of the few benefits of being an old fart

My wife had a fault claim and the policy did not increase. Nor did it go down.

Two prangs in the past year, both in the company van. Hit up back while stationary behind stopped bus (van bumper mangled), no fault, and second with a bumper/bumper rub in traffic, other party in BMW was in a rush and thought he’d get through - no marks on plastic van bumper, but scuffed paint on his (£100 smart repair touch). He insisted to go through insurance, it was declared (wrongly I think) 50/50.

Declared accidents at renewal two weeks back on my personal work hack Micra, premium doubled to £300 - my personal ncb remains intact at 15 years.

I am also an old fart at 62
