Authorities can solve that problem by banning overtaking on single carriageway roads and implementing physically divided carriageways where road width permits. Safety conscious Sweden is leading this initiative.
Excellent! That is turning a single carriageway into a dual carriageway and therefor has a 70 limit where the NSL applies! Authorities.
Making you drive faster since 2021
I think I'd resort to ramming hesitant drivers.

You will need to be patient on the roads in future - very patient I think I'd resort to ramming hesitant drivers.

They'll probably just ban bikes instead.
Death by a thousand cuts is more palatable. Restrict use of bikes, introduce speed limiters, elevate costs etc until the animal is so weak, it can be culled. Motorbikes do not fit with future transport policy especially Vision Zero. They are far too dangerous.Pixelpeep 135 said:
Maybe we will see an update of bike licences being issued in 2022...
that'll screw with the casualty rate statistics!
Wouldn't it be great to witness the authorities sink in this pile of crap they are creating? that'll screw with the casualty rate statistics!

Will new EU driving law force drivers to adopt fully autonomous cars?

Normally I'd put anything in the Express on the same credulity level as flat earthers - in this case though?https://www.express.co.uk/life-style/cars/1489664/...

Already the case. I frequently find myself following long strings of drivers either unable or unwilling to overtake, headed by someone doing perhaps >20 mph below the limit. Faffing at every roundabout, hesitating when turning onto or off a major road. Furthermore, some of the limits on the A roads are now set at 50, and then there's all the 20 limits on trunk roads in towns. For making good progress, a motorcycle is now really the only option. Or travel late at night when they're all (even more) asleep.Yodafone said:
Wonder will this cause demand in imported cars from countries without speed limters/black boxes fitted.
No because speed limiters/black boxes will be mandatory on ALL new cars sold in the UK from July 2022. Same approach is used for American imports where EU specific changes are required.Caveat: Unless UK government pulls the rabbit out the hat and stops all this nonsense, because Brexit has made us independent. So little chance then - what a farce
