Personally i prefer the old look.
Oh come on, that’s either been taken with the world’s sttest digital camera or someone’s fiddled with the saturation and contrast settings. It actually looks like this…

Come let's all play "Spot the cyclist"

Is it the person in the wheelchair in the first photo, having been crippled when someone didn't understand the road furniture?

This is on the local Facebook page this morning. Car facing the wrong way, half on the new surface, and a cyclist on the pavement laugh

Well its all going according to plan. As the council have stated that "the wiggly lines are there to confuse".

I parked up yesterday for lunch at the top of The Beach opposite Seavale Rd, which is also now a one way street. Whilst there, 4 cars and a motorbike all exited Seavale the wrong way and 2 of the cars turned left into the flow. Defo plenty of confusion out there. nuts

With driving as bad as described in those 2 posts, I'm not surprised the cyclist wants to be as far away from them!

I see on Facebook some locals are planning to park the old herringbone way this weekend and leave their cars overnight. I don't recall seeing parking wardens in Clevedon, but I assume Pepipoo will be busy on Monday.

What a bunch of tools. What do they think that will achieve?

Lol I genuinely just was looking at that and saw a cyclist going up the wrong way on the road ie not on the cycle lane! Was too slow for screenshot.

Is it an offence to park in that cycle lane as those cars are?

Confusion everywhere as far as I can see. I haven't yet seen a car turn right at the bottom without ignoring the roundabout, cyclists are having to zig-zag up the road because of the parked cars, most pedestrians are ignoring the marked crossing point.

It would be a great venue for a PH 'Custard Club' meet - any PHers in the area? Come on, make our day biggrin

We have a near 45 year old family tradition of stopping off for lunch at Clevedon on the way to/from our annual summer holiday in the SW. Instead of going in a motorway services we park up on the front have a quick lunch in one of the cafes, ice cream in the park opposite the pier, quick mooch round the antique centre and then on our way. Parking was never too tricky, could usually get a space on the front or worst case turn right before the pier and park up there. Seeing this thread is making me think twice about trying again this year. What are the best parking options now for quick stop on the front for lunch?

I would do a lap of the seafront into Alexandra Rd into Elton Rd, if no joy for free parking there, go to the Hawthorns or Salthouse car parks where you will have to pay. Or park it on my drive for a fiver. biggrin

What an utter dog's breakfast this has been by the council, I wonder if today's 'two fingers' by the public will make them think again.
