Radar Detectors

Hi Guys. Does anyone know anything about radar detectors? I''ve just inherited a Bel 745i from my brother (he now driving a diesel passat, so he doesn''t really need it any more!) Its about four years old i think. Is this thing any good? Or do the police change frequencies every few years to try and out-do the radar detector manufacturers? Does any one have any experience of this particular model? Any info welcome Cheers Rob. Esprit V8-GT

I know some-one who's got one (don't know which model though, it's from the States) & it goes off with mobile phones. I've just invested in a Morpheous Geodesy & it's superb. It won't stop you being pulled by plod but that's what mirrors are for! Incidently the guy who owns the detector got pulled by plod recently & the detector didn't go off because they were just following him with a video camera. CJ
