So long as it winds up the dheads on here and results in similar dheads getting points for phone use, I'm all for them.

Love a bit of Mikey, was worried it might be him when I saw the title!

Absolutely no place for phones in cars, your sociallife isn't that important!

Why prosecute him but NFA against the RR driver?
RR driver knows the right people / has connections with the decision makers?
Hard to be sure without seeing the video but he appears to be stopped with seatbelt off and dash not on so perhaps engine turned off. In other words parked up.

I'd imagine the Police have much better things to do, not sure why they didn't just say thanks no offence commited and ask him to be more careful on his bike next time. I feel there is a lot more to this story than the cyclist is letting on.

God he's a knob. Loves to inflame the situation for "likes". The whole "can't touch me attitude". It's about time he got prosecuted for obstructing the highway. He has absolutely no right stopping vehicles.

I wonder if people like that carry out 'professional audits' with security guards and police in their spare time?

Loved the way the cyclist rode through the red light between them, and no one said anything.

He often tells them it's not right and the same for passing left only parts on the right, not much had can do and not the same level of risk as driving a motor vehicle carelessly.

Was the mobile phone hand held?

If the phone was on his thigh then what’s the issue?

I’m surprised that, AFAIK, Cycling Mikey hasn’t been seriously assaulted on one of his crusades against motorists using their mobiles. I don’t have a problem with him exposing and reporting these idiots, but his whiney, nasal, holier-than-thou approach must surely render him liable for a smack or two.

A bit like the internet, people are tougher with keyboards/their gob, than their actions.

Certainly agree people using phones at the wheel need dealing with harshly.

Not sure I agree winding people up is a solution, however. Instead of it resulting in someone admitting they are wrong, they go on the offensive and the cyclist ends in more trouble.

Agressive cycling is just as much a nuisance (for other cyclists as well) as st driving.

We must be lucky in that drivers where we live are pretty pleasant and give way (unusual for London) which has a positive knock on effect. And I imagine it's because not everyone is looking to antagonise everyone else because they're having a bad day.

Taking the cyclist out of the picture for 1 second, how the hell did the driver get nfa? The evidence is right there, plain as day! Is the corruption that blatant these days?

I love how a car driver could murder someone but as soon as a cyclist is nearby it's apparently all the cyclists fault.

I'd rather all the morons who use their phones at the wheel are taken off the road. I'm sick of having to wait twice as long at traffic lights because it takes everyone in front of me several seconds to look up from their screens and realise the light has gone green.

I have no problem with cyclists 'grassing' up road users on their phones, every one knows they shouldn't use their phones at the wheels but somehow it's the cyclists fault if they're caught?
That's about my feelings too.

I'm sick of motorists getting upset because a cyclist dared to use the road.

I can almost guarantee that 99% of drivers haven't been held up for more than a couple of minutes cumulatively in their whole driving careers. On top of that they're in literally no danger from a cyclist either.

The roads are getting worse for cyclists every year. I used to cycle to school from the age of 6 on the road, I wouldn't dare let my kids on the road on their own today.

When did two wrongs ever make a right?
