Threads like this are good for me
They remind me to value what I do have, and to make sure, when I do move house, to avoid this kind of problem if at all possible.

Only delivery drivers and the postie park across my driveway, and they are usually delivering to me as I am 350 yards from the next house.
My biggest joy this last 11 years has been NOT having neighbours.

Good luck with yours - sounds like you need it.

A red postbox, of that shape, on a road that looks like it would attract a fair few dog walkers... Bold choice, sir!

I once walked to where I was sure there was a postbox. Mrs D assured me there was no postbox on that road, but I'd driven past it a hundred times so I was certain. I walked half a mile with my letter, only to find the post box was in fact a dog poo bin.

Good thought - I do have dogs myself, and used such a red bin only this morning in the park.
We don't tend to get dog walkers, as the speed limit is 60 down here.
And horse riders are generally too (fat and) lazy to get off their steeds to scoop up and deposit a steaming pile in my post box.

Smelly nuggets of gold? My dad and the neighbours used to race outside with a shovel at the sound of hooves. Rot them down and stick em on their roses.

If you do not have a dropped kerb, then you are not permitted to cross the footpath with your vehicle.

That said, it may still be an obstruction if you are unable to get OFF your driveway, but not ONTO your driveway by a vehicle parked in front (bay or no bay).
