Or just take it to another garage and have the tracking done whilst you wait for it.

500 miles is going to do fk all to your tyres so I’m not surprised they won’t replace them.
This. I’d tell you (very politely) to jog on

How long would you expect to the tyres to last usually? 10k? So 500 miles is 5% of that, if I was managing that place I'd give you the 5% as goodwill and bid you good day
And don't come again

You can actually do a lot of damage to tyres in a few hundred miles if the tracking is a long way out.
It's like 500 miles of half your car turning left and the other half turning right.

A few mates learned this with bangers last century, replace a few suspension/steering parts like ball joints and suddenly your tracking is miles out.

Extreme case, mate of mine had a trailer which was slightly bent, it ate two tyres going from Bristol to Falmouth and two more on the way home!

Seriously, if your tracking is so wrong you can feel it on the steering, go get it fixed, Do Not Pass Go!
It doesn't take a whole lot for it to fling you in the hedge.
