Waiting for driver to turn right

DCW aren’t that common.
1/1000 chance of a snitcher.
I know the person I overtook definitely didn't have a camera but obviously if someone else in the queue behind did. It just worries me as DWDCA is quite a broad category and can be up to 9 points , and I don't know how serious on a scale this would rank. 1/1000 chance of a snitcher.

Absolutely I did.
I actually looked on local FB to see if anyone had complained as it's the sort of local FB where people do regularly complain about drivers - nothing. I did see a post form nearly ten years ago about the same garage though about how queuing cars waiting to go in caused people to be stuck for as long as 15 minutes.

it's been like a minute and a half and still no sign of any movement.
You win today's award for patience. Around here drivers would be out of their cars imploring the car turning right to find another petrol station. Isn't causing a block in the road for 1.5 minutes obstructing traffic?popeyewhite said:

Who knows , but I read on local FB from years back some had been waiting in the queue for 15 minutes and couldn't overtake because the line was that long and there were cars coming the other way. I don't know what was worse, what I did or mounting the pavement, but honestly it's selfish as fk to just block a road. I could understand it if it was someone waiting to turn and the other traffic wasn't letting them go but not because the forecourt was clearly full.

Yeah I did it slowly . Made sure no cars were on the other side. Slowly began to turn round.
I was going to honk them before to encourage them to do what I'd do when I've been in that situation - go to the end of the road and do a u turn at the mini roundabout and hopefully then I can pull in without blocking the road.
Just worried someone caught it on film and decides to report it. But yeah.
Doing a u turn at a mini roundabout is also not permitted by the HC.I was going to honk them before to encourage them to do what I'd do when I've been in that situation - go to the end of the road and do a u turn at the mini roundabout and hopefully then I can pull in without blocking the road.

Mini-roundabouts. Approach these in the same way as normal roundabouts. All vehicles MUST pass round the central markings except large vehicles which are physically incapable of doing so. Remember, there is less space to manoeuvre and less time to signal. Avoid making U-turns at mini-roundabouts. Beware of others doing this.
Laws RTA 1988 sect 36 & TSRGD regs 10(1) & 16(1)
As said towards the start the pavement/footway/footpath bit is:
"RTA 1988
S34 Prohibition of driving mechanically propelled vehicles elsewhere than on roads.
(1)Subject to the provisions of this section, if without lawful authority a person drives a mechanically propelled vehicle—
(a)on to or upon any common land, moorland or land of any other description, not being land forming part of a road, or
(b)on any road being a footpath, bridleway or restricted byway,
he is guilty of an offence."
From my brief glance at The 1835 Highways act, it defined Carriageways for all those carriages and footways for the walking riff raff...
Carriages moved on to be Motor carriages as later legislation slowly caught up, Motor cars and then cars...
The emergency bit:
"A person shall not be convicted of an offence under this section with respect to a vehicle if he proves to the satisfaction of the court that it was driven in contravention of this section for the purpose of saving life or extinguishing fire or meeting any other like emergency."

That is not MUST NOT or even DO NOT. it is often unavoidable for large vehicles.

I think that you were over thinking it, don’t give in to the anxiety of these things. 95% of the things we worry about will never happen.I actually looked on local FB to see if anyone had complained as it's the sort of local FB where people do regularly complain about drivers - nothing. Just seen on the local forces dashcam channel from last year same location as me! Someone got six points for driving over the pavement ...I am worried now as I feel like what I did was potentially worse , fined £1034 too

You've more chance of winning the Euromillions on a rollover week than anything happening over your actions.

It’s time to stop feeding your anxiety.
