I'm walking through town and an officer is directing traffic to allow a military march of some sort...

So as we pass the policeman, he's got his hand up, stopping traffic and I dare my girlfriend to run up and give him a 'high five' :hehe:

Of course she refused (spoil sport!) but I was curious whether an actual offence might have been committed.

Stupid I know..

hehe, Cheers DVD. A veritable fountain of knowledge on traffic laws.

So, not an offence for the high five per se, just for not stopping!

Poor bloke looked really bored, I was just thinking about cheering his day up!

:heh: unfortunately, the officer in question wasn't an unfeasibly attractive Italian lady, just a bored looking, slightly chubby gentleman...

This better not have been Lincoln, else that "chubby" copper might have been me! (its just relaxed muscle anyway!)
