Slightly off topic, but Tayside Police ran P999TAY on a traffic car for a while, then the CC's car. Now on a support vehicle, as far as I know.

Don't be tempted to have a "play" with a Silver E39 M5 along the M4 corridor with plate "M5 YEP". You'd get a nasty surprise.

Hey! I saw that car a week or two ago, around the Richmond area. Certainly very stealthy, I had no idea it was a pleece car.

Things are starting to go full circle here. There was a reduction in traffpol numbers in TVP but they are currently recruiting more officers into roads policing. The problem is there are quite a few RPD officers but its actually getting them trained to RPD levels thats the problem.
We have a number of officers waiting to join but cant because of the delays in getting them on the courses. And believe it or not they are not allowed in the cars as Roads Polcing in a Roads polcing role untill they have done the course even as a passenger.

Now then, that road, get along with you and don't let me see you hanging around outside these shops again .

Last week the traffic lights failed at jc11 of the M4 (A33/Reading). Apparently this situation lasted at least overnight and in to the following rushhour - causing absolute chaos.

The junction in question is a 5 minute walk from TVP's trafpol base at Three Mile Cross. Needless to say no one attended.

Speaks volumes for how stretched they are.

The problem was caused by the original meaning of a computer bug - a spider crawled in to the control box and caused a short circuit!

I have, unusually for me, done about 2k miles on the motorways in the past six weeks.

Total tally is one marked T5 on the M5, one marked LandCruiser on the M3 and one unmarked metallic grey Seat Leon - magnetic blue light on the roof, so probably not traffic - and that's it.

Very likely indeed - it was that colour, pity they don't show the last 3 letters of the plate...

The image wasn't showing up for me, so here is the URL in case anyone else has the same problem:

Which is the m5board thread where that picture is posted? I couldn't find it on a quick search.

Unmarked dark green volvo saloon on the A40 last saturday evening (about 7pm).

Joined the carriageway alongside us (pulled into the outside lane to allow her to join).

The female police officer then accelerated hard, followed a van for about a mile before leaving the carriageway at Watford.

Sneaky! lol

they are still around in Aylesbury, couple of un marked cars about.

There's a bloody scam van sat on Walton St. today, can't see it until you're on top of it when it's parked there.
