My wife has just had a NIP for 35 in a 30 (manned camera), thing is it was sent to our old address from which we moved 18 months ago. Her licence was changed to our new address at the time of the move so there should have been no confusion on that matter.

We only got the NIP as the postman new of the move and sent it on unnoficially (re-direct cancelled after a year), do you think there is any chance of getting off the charge if we do not respond until after the 14 days and claim we only just received it?

Cheers
Nick

And if it is - its an offence in its own right.

IF the NIP genuinely went to the wrong address because of the Scamerati's error there may be some defence...you need one of our resident lawyers/Bib to tell you.

If, OTOH, it went to the wrong address because you neglected to inform the DVLA I'd shut up about it. Your wife can probably stand the 3pts and £60 - and if you then inform the DVLA of the correct address chances are you'll get away with not having told them.

How dim can I be????

I never even questioned her logic at saying it had gone to the wrong address!

Engage brain and then ...Post!
