quick question

the neighbour at the bottom of our garden has basically accused myself and the wife of
putting dog doo in her garden the fact we have a 10ft hedge at the bottom seems to
have totally passed her by, and today when the wife arrived home she found a note from
the local comunity police regarding a complaint from said neighbour.

This is a bit beyond a joke to me and my wife and in her view is bordering on harrasment
what can we do about it.

She's clearly a bit of a nutter from your comment, so I would avoid escalating the situation further unless you have to.

Speak to the local "community plod" and explain the situation, that should be the end of it as she has utterly nothing to back up the accusation.

We've had similar issues with a neighbour and simply ignore their dribbling lack of a grasp of reality.

(They insisted our cat was crapping in their garden. we DONT HAVE a cat...)

Ask her how she arrived at this conclusion. Then demolish her argument thoroughly.

Leave it for a couple of weeks, and then continue throwing the poo

I agree. Or even better post it. Print a label for the envelope/parcel though, as your handwriting will give it away.

Are you sure your dog isn't sneeking through a hole in your hedge?

The best approach is to explain nicely that you are not to blame (assuming that you're not). This immediately prevents any accusations that you are threatening or intimidating her. Idealy record this conversation in some way.

If things continue inform, verbally and in writing, every interested party that you are not responsible and that her claims against you are groundless. The written word may be more substantial in the eyes of the law but a face to face meeting is often harder to dismiss from a personal perspective.

The dog doesn't have any DNA?
