Hi there,

actually these are radar detectors and the camera should sit on a small post next to it. They use them in Switzerland since a few month e.g between Lausanne and Geneva you have on 40 miles about 7 speed cameras ... u get used to it ...

sorry to correct myself: it's one part of the radar unit which probably measures the mass of the metal passing to activate the radar and camera unit, as the system knows when a car or a truck passes (heard it on the local radio stations) ...

While we're looking at Holland, they are not as pernicious as our worthy government.

They get fined for speeding, but no licence points...

That's only because with 7 million speeding tickets a year on a car parc of erm, 7 million, dishing out points would mean in no time there would hardly any motorists be on the road anymore to pay the fines the Treasurer has budgeted for...

Hmmm, where is tht TUFF TUFF brigade?

I wonder how easy it would be to demolish one of these, get a big saw and cut the armco on both sides perhaps?

Ps. I'm not suggesting you should do it of course!
