As sad as it may sound to some of you, no i don't speed as i don't really want to shell out 60 quid.

They'll still get you! There will be a day when you blink and miss an inapropriate out of town 40.

As I say elsewhere my brother was a stickler for limits 'cos his job requires driving.

They just change a 70 to a 30 and put their van hidden in the 70 a few days later. Factor in a lorry between you and the 40 limit sign on a road you don't know and bingo: you'll be out of work too.

yep they shaw will

i speent more years with out a lisence than i did with one.

and the first time they ask for my licence to put a pount on it I will burn it in the court.

and go back to driving and riding with out one.
life was simpler then.

Your job might not depend on your license. Others do. You might not be ashamed of being dragged into court. Others are.

If someone has a job that depends on them having a clean licence then they shouldn't be speeding

You have a choice in life...to speed or not to speed, that is the question

Outlaw you've given me a great idea!

We're twins - we'll just share my license for the duration of the ban!!!

I meant they will stick them on for failing to notify the driver details. Not for the original offence.

Look at a previous post of mine fo the act and section.

I am right.

you have no right in law to ask about the offence before complying with the NIP though.

That's stated in case law.

yes but it a defence to prove you dont know who was driving

and if you can show that your try to figer it out and that they wont help you then you have complied with the nip.

funny you should say that m8

two guys that used work and hang around with me were identical twins.

and used get away with alll sorts of shit when one got done for some thing and there was a id would get the wicknees to point them out in court with em both there they allways couldent.

they used share the same insharance policy and driving lisence

one of em took the car licence the other the bike test

allso known many peeps pass a second test in a new name
quite easy if your born before they cross reference births and deaths.

or asume the id of someone thats left the country for good.

i'm sure they would ask who had permission to drive it though. Doesn't look good if you say "i don't know".

I understand but i would feel that strongly too if it had happened to either me or a friend/family/fellow PHd. They dont seem to be able to grasp that you can lose your taxable income through their fixation with taking £60 off of each motorist in this country. I dont give a ~~~~ when anyone else says "if you dont speed, you havent got anything to worry about" These people will one day curse the scamera when they get caught doing 30.00001mph.
Then they will see what everyone else is talking about...until then they can go and play with the traffic!

"Filth", "Scum."
"Obtaining the home addresses of this scum."

Toad, I know you probably won't care, but how wrong you are. Must admit, it does sadden me to hear that sort of thing being said no matter what happened.

Saying that, I have heard it all before, and indeed someone did follow me home from work once.

Toad, this is clearly an "I need more mescallin" post.

Instead of whining about a situation that's out of your control, why not take steps to increase roadcraft skills? Why the bloody hell was your brother accelerating before the nsl sign anyway...can't he wait, or doesn't he think he has to??

Most of you need to change the way you think...where would YOU put a camera? Behind trees? Behind a roadsign? At the start of a dual carriageway? If you think a site is a sneaky-beaky location then slow down ffs.

Calling people scum cause they out-thought your bro is a real no-brainer arguement...

Apparently the stretch was a 70 limit a short while ago.

Toad, can I ask a favour,
can you let me know EXACTLY which stretch of the A449 nr Kidde this was?

As you know I'm not too far south of there and use one stretch of the A449 dualled, now 40 recently 70 every day. Section near Hartlebury? If that's the correct location then quite frankly it's a disgrace.

Just as extra info, new cameras going up on A491 Hagley > M5 Jn4 and A456 through W Hagley as we speak. That's in addition to the vans. West Mercia have got the bug badly.

Can't go into it too much dragstar, suffice to say he didn't do it again.
It becomes a bit personal when family / children get threatened.
