I've just had a flyer saying that from now on in 6 areas VOSA are being given the power by Chief Officers of Police to pull over motorists as conduct "vehicle checks" by putting on orange flashing lights !!!!!!!! Did you know ? would you stop ? www.vosa.gov.uk/vosa/econtent/news/articles/12082003-powers_stop.asp

I got a flyer about this.

Think it applies to goods vehicles only.

Doesn't it?

Just in case anyone hasn't driven a ford Galaxy. Their "Power" to stop you is pretty limited. I reckon the best bet is piss off and phone the cops to let them no some nutter in a Galaxy tried to stop you. If we all did this the powers would be revoked in about 3 weeks. Bit like unmarked cars. Assume its a terrorist and drive to the nearest police station to ask for protection...

This is primarily for use in stopping Goods Vehicles.
If they fail to stop then they WILL be in trouble, eg/ Operators Licencing etc etc .
