I was out doing a bit of Christmas shopping and saw 2 cars in a public car park clamped and stickered as untaxed vehicles. Both fairly new nice cars too, one of the cars tax had run out in April 2003 !!!!!!!!!

There is absolutely no reason why they shouldn't have been taxed and up to date, after all the rest of us have to pay so I'm glad that those who think they can get away with it are going to be caught out.

to whoever clamped them.

I'm sure they'll allow for a couple of days. Both I saw clamped were months out of date.

My Nan was at Bedford Hospital today and saw a car that had disabled badges displayed and was parked in a disabled spot but was wheel clamped, I said to her it was probably because of no Tax, parking was free for them so couldnt be they hadnt payed and displayed.
I have seen a few cars on back of Transporters also that have large stickers on them saying that they have been taken due to no payment of tax.

not all disabled bage holders can get free tax.

alot of orange/blue now badges are decretionary ones

ie pester the councile and a doctor enotgh and your eventurly get one.

the rest are those how are in recite of full moblite alowence ie can get a disabled car.

they get the free tax.
but the car has to be reregistered as disabled on the v5 with the dla

I have this due to my wife illness.

but alot of traffic wardens totaly ignore the blue badges and ticket the cars anyway.

If you go down any ticket office there normaly full of
disabled peeps complaining that they got one for f all.
