I might buy a Suzuki Wagon R after I could no longer afford to insure a Citroen AX I modded, seemingly only because I'm 19.

But I don't want that to stop me and I find the mad-looking bosozoku movement quite interesting.

Are roof-level pipes welded on the end of a standard back box road legal over here?

A quick google of Bosozoku brought up this on the first page:

I'm not sure I'm a fan of the look personally hehe

I imagine that due to the heat given off by the exhausts it might not be allowed on the grounds that it sticks out significantly and would be easy for pedestrians to come into contact with.

Possibly construction and use regs?

Plus people might burn themselves on them if crossing roads or passing behind your vehicle. fk knows how many times I've smashed my shins on tow bars, and that hurts enough!

Oh, by the way, it looks st.

I doubt they would get anywhere near hot enough to burn someone.

I burned myself on the tip of my Audi's exhaust, clamp broke and exhaust dropped, so went to temp it back on while parked mid hoon. frown

And how, pray do tell, do you open the tailgate with those monstrocities fixed in position.

If you want vertical exhausts, get one of these:

Christ that looks a mess. I had a dable at doing exhaust relocation many years ago on a modded Astra Max van. Cut the rear floor re-routed the pipework into the arse of the van then cut the back doors so the pipes exited the rear through the middle of the door line. (one through each door in a nut shell) Looked interesting totaly fk any loading capabilities and I undoubtedly looked a total tt to all trailing vehicles or people that had attended Specsavers.

My advice woul be on the grounds of normality to just buy a car run it a few years build some serious NCB and then buy a 'real' car.

Note - during the building of NCB cars and bikes go 'rubber side down'

From the depths of memory con and use regs would ban these here.

I think - although I really cannot be arsed to go digging on HMRC again, that vis for the OP, that con and use regs require the exhaust to exit with the boundary of the car - to stop people easily coming into contact with it and burning themselves.

Again though from memory from about 20 years ago...

I think that is the point...

They love a bit Boso over on the Retro Rides forum - I know rMad on there who often runs his Cressida with a boso exhaust.

Try this thread for some silly examples of the Bosozoku style. I think it's ace, based purely on just how rediculous it all is!

You want exhausts?. They've got exhausts...

Post a picture up when you do, so we can mock it.

Thanks in advance.
