To the resident BiB, what's the WORST police car you've been given to use?

The cars that you couldn't catch a cold in or couldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding type motors? Where upon seeing it for the first time your immediate thought is "WTF were they thinking when they bought that?"

I remember my sister getting a bit confused by Birminghams' one way system late one night and being pulled by a cop in a Austin Maestro! The Bib was very polite etc but a Maestro FFS!
Proton Wira 1.5 running badly on LPG. Beat that!

Sierra 2.0 Auto - Sloooooooow, I did an ambulance escort in it and couldn't keep up!

Astra diesel non-turbo from about 1996 - under-steered into a ditch in the end.

A Prius on test - actually wasn't the worst thing I have driven.

That award goes to.

A Think electric egg box. Truly horrendous and I still shudder at the thought of achieving its V-max on the Westway.

Sounds like a Malaysian taxi!

The old Pug 306 cars we used to have were great little things- Utterly bombproof but pig slow- Although they still had the "nee naw" siren to add a touch of period class!

Shirley its a is220?
The IS-F went on sale late 2007 in Japan, and Europe and the USA in 2008. Why wouldn't it be a 58 plate?

All crap indeed! Add to that list the Maestro, bigger than the Metro but equally s**t, I think they came from the factory as standard with all sorts of clunking and knocking coming from the front end.

I really miss the French Horn! Used to always let it go through two "nee naw" cycles when changing from yelp back to wail, always cheered my day up! (how sad!)

We had Impreza's in the early 00's which were pretty good fun but very tinny and not very reliable. I remember having to check the oil each and every time it went out as it wasn't uncommon for it to burn off all it's oil in one shift. I always prefered the 850 T5's to the current bloated V70's too.

Panda wise, the first Focus hatch's were briliant compared to the previous sloooooow Escorts and Astras plus they (compared to the old sheds) handled like they were on rails. The current Focus Estate isn't too bad a car either. I know it's never gonna be a supercar but compared to some of the ste we've had before...

The Beat Bobbies have it bad too, at our nick they've a 1.3 CDTi Corsa on an '06 plate. It's gearstick is made of plastic and instead of moving into the next slot just bends, it grinds it's gearbox no matter what gear you want to select and the tyres are thinner than a fag paper. It's one of the worse cars i've ever driven!

i fear a great disaster.

That is the Carbon Motors E7, a purpose built, hideously ugly police car, with features such as nightvision, and seats that make it more comfortable when your hands are cuffed behind your back.

They've signed a deal for about a quarter of a million BMW diesel engines for them...

What do you think that car is for?
I think that's exactly what the car is for, catching criminals.

But you said:

Which leads me to believe that Cameron's one of those people that thinks we shouldn't actually be able to catch criminals.
