playing the legal game is slow and pointless with these sorts of people

maybe pay the money and try to take them to court (which will prob not lead to getting the money back)

on the plus side you know who the director of company is so you can go and smash up his car, his house and his legs.
If I did pay the money though, I would get the car then cancel the transaction as I was forced to make the payment under dures or however you spell it tongue out

are you sure this duress thing is going to work?

are you gonna go to your bank or via the court?

i cannot see the banks being too willing to give back payments willy nilly just coz someone says they were under duress.
The thing with the CC idea is that it has been used before with these people but I am not 100% sure if it would work either, would be great if it did though... I am looking into that tomorrow as well wink

I don't intend to actually give them any £££.

And about braking it out... The car is visible yes but it is indeed blocked in by the tow truck, got a huge lock (which won't be a problem) but does have CCTV on the main entrance (which will be a problem) I think.

Cheers for your help and advice guys, keep it coming smile

I have been trying to get hold of these people all morning since 8am so far and no one is answering a phonecall, so for now the CC idea is on hold frown

Sorry about spelling and grammer, not always been my strong point at all, plus typing quickly does not help at all laugh

I mentioned this before in the thread about LBS.

No SIA license, not legal surely?
Nope it's not legal what they are doing as they don't have a SIA licence, I have already reported what happened and had the reply that they are already investigating this company and thank you for my complaint to them, so kinda good news smile

Attention all people following this story. I have just phoned Essex Police and reported a crime. The number I dialed was 0300 333 4444 and I got a girl who told me it was trading standards. No SIA licence is a CRIMINAL OFFENCE! Come on Essex Police; get your act together and arrest these crimonals.
I have a crime number as well from when I spoke to the yesterday, would it be naughty to flag up the cars that we got the reg numbers up as having no tax? as then it would come up on the AMPR system shouldn't it? or is that to simples?

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, I got the 'custody docket' that they provide you as proof if you would like me to put it up on here to show all?

£3000 for overnight storage...hm'okay.
That is a typo from myself, it's infact £50 a night what they told me until it gets to £3000 then they said they would keep the car and sell it on eek

I just got through to scum on this number 07964 018373. They just swore abuse at me. The only way to deal with these scum is to be heavy handed and take the car back by force.

If the car is on finance; then they can't sell it!
My thought excatly, I have also phoned the finance people to tell them what has happened and to make them aware, their response was that they will keep a lookout on their database and in the meantime they have suspended my payments until this is sorted, so that's a result I think smile

Also report the car stolen to Alfa Romeo. You need codes and the red key to change the ignition lock.
Good shout, i'll do that now smile

Excellent!

Is there anything PHer's could do to make the companies life that little bit more difficult? Surely we must be able to do something which is perfectly legal but will really get on their nerves?

Any ideas?
Grab the phone numbers or I can give you them and put the numbers in papers, magazines and dirty magazines selling things and offering services wink

Amusing though this mutual preenfest may be can I suggest that posting up even hints of retribution in public is perhaps not the best thing to be doing?

Just a thought.
People are more than welcome to suggest hints of retribution methods, but just so everyone knows... I would never lower myself to their standard just to get back at them, I am better than them and I know I am better than them smile

Are you? They are a company doing their job? Why are you better?

(Yes, I know and yes I agree - as I have been a victim myself - but theoretically it is true - as at the moment they have no legal bounds...)
I don't class clamping me for parking in the correct marked bays for where I work as 'doing their job', their attitude was that the clamp is on so they want the money or the tow it, I even had a Domino's parking permit in the window yet they still clamped me.

Oh, Mark Stone and Matthew Boosey both are known for not doing things the right way, hell Mark Stone has already been in prison for manslaughter so his not the kind of person me or anyone else would like to cause trouble with, if you catch my drift?
