Cheers fella, I am going to put it up on my Facebook when I can.

Does anyone know of anyone who can come up with me tomorrow to collect the car, more as a deterrent to trouble as they have already threatened me physically so I am kinda stting it myself frown

I see they have a FREE phone number! I wonder how much it will cost them if that number gets banded about!

How about paying them by credit card and then getting your bank/credit card company to do a charge back?

You could either tell your bank that the payment was made under duress or some people may even lie to their bank completely and just say 'I don't recognise this transaction/have never had dealings with company X' (of course I would never recommend the latter).

LBS have £14000 of CCJ. Scott/Bella, I would send LBS an invoice for £14000 and take them back to court.

I am sure a few PHer's could go round to their depot and help you get the car back.

David.

LBS Enforcement

It says on their website they have a freephone number. Does that mean they pay for the call?

Freephone: 0844 335 8470

How about a sit in at their compound! Great if a over 100 of us turn up and sit in! LBS will have to give Scott his car back when the law changes. Maybe this a call for the law to changed right now.

Scott!

I would invoice them for the car and then take them to the County Court. As they have not paid the CCJs already against them; I am sure that the judge will find in your favour. Tell Plod (Essesx Police) to get your car back as the law is changing anyway. Tell them it was 'carjacked' off you.

Nice idea about the police involvment but they have said over and over again they can't do anything about, plus wouldn't saying that it was 'carjacked' off me be wasting police time?

Oh I have already done an invoice, for the car when new, plus outstanding finance as well as all the various bits I have done to the car wink in fact it's already in the post so should be interesting wink

Don't pay them anything, you need to get an injunction requiring them to return the car. I've heard of similar things being done before, but sadly am lacking in the details. More help would be better sought on PePiPoo...

playing the legal game is slow and pointless with these sorts of people

maybe pay the money and try to take them to court (which will prob not lead to getting the money back)

on the plus side you know who the director of company is so you can go and smash up his car, his house and his legs.

If I did pay the money though, I would get the car then cancel the transaction as I was forced to make the payment under dures or however you spell it tongue out

are you sure this duress thing is going to work?

are you gonna go to your bank or via the court?

i cannot see the banks being too willing to give back payments willy nilly just coz someone says they were under duress.

Is this outrage still going on?

Before anyone starts, the police will not get involved.

I repeat - THE POLICE WILL NOT GET INVOLVED - IT IS A CIVIL DISPUTE.

You have to go through the small claims court or high court, or sort it with the clampers.

Shocking story though.
police will not get involved with extortion, oh well carry on then.
WHF are they there.

The thing with the CC idea is that it has been used before with these people but I am not 100% sure if it would work either, would be great if it did though... I am looking into that tomorrow as well wink
