Ha ha clerks are there to help you are joking aren't you.
I've had one clerk tell me court was only available on a Monday when I asked very politely if I could possibly come on a different day (after cps had adjourned again 'cos they'd not read the files) because I was missing the same lecture at uni - she said court was far more important than my education and Monday was the only day available. (My Mum played a blinder though, she rang court on a Wednesday asked to speak to chief clerk and then expressed surprise that he was in fact there on a day other than a Monday as we were given the impression that court was only open on Mondays)
I've had a clerk lose my file at my pre trial review and then talked to an usher the entire time my solicitor was outlining my case.
I've had two clerks refuse me a McKenzies friend (my Dad) I'm 19 with a heart condition. One of the reasons I've had to get a solicitor.

Hi Chris,

I suppose like any profession: there are professionals and cowboys? Unfortunately cowboys are encouraged when they are pretty sure they can get away with it!

By the way, have you checked your 'Didn't Stop at Accident' thread, I added something which may be some help a couple of weeks ago.

How is is going with your case?

Yes thanks for the reply - current situation - CPS were shown a letter detailing my recent heart op and photos of my scars, but have insisted on my solicitor obtaining an offical medical report from my cardiologist, they are then having yet another pre trial review (the third or fourth) to discuss my health. My defence is that having had open heart surgery 12 weeks before the incident there was no way I was going to allow myself to remain in a situation where I may have been physically attacked.
