Actually, its GBH if you break the skin, abh if you dont.

But just do it anyway, whos going to sue over something like that?

Actually it isn't.

GBH is defined as 'Really serious Bodily harm'

ABH is defined as 'The breaking of the whole skin'!

Sorry,

GBH = serious damage (no break of the skin required)

Wounding = break of the whole skin

ABH = any damage other than trifling damage.

Assault by beating = any applicattion of force.

An assault is not necessarily a physical act.
You can assault someone with words or actions if they are frightened or feel immediately threatened by them.

The correct terminology for violent physical contact against someones will is 'Battery'.

GBH can be committed without touching a person physically if it gives rise to the victim suffering severe mental/physchological problems

just shave his eyebrows mate!

Eyebrows are notorious for their poor regrowth back to their previous state, whereas head hair tends to regrow perfectly, like your lawn does after mowing.

If you were to shave either head-hair or eyebrows without the person's consent, both would be 'assault' at the very least, and with a good medical report a case of eyebrow-shaving could prove very costly indeed due to the poor regrowth giving rise to long-lasting mental trauma (real, or just for the sake of compensation). Surgeons are loathe to shave eyebrows for the real risk of being sued should the regrowth prove to be less than 100% the same as their pre-op condition.

Just don't go there!
