Got a 2006 Z06 down in Bracknell

Quick question.
I have posted in the forum before on the choice of the 06 or 07 variants, and got some good information. Now a friend of mine is looking to sell his Black 2008 LS3 coupe (is not the Z06). It is fully specced from what he tells me, and has only done 72k (KM). Auto/Flappy paddle gearbox. I have seen it a few times, and I know it does not want for servicing and looking after, it is his baby and he has had since new. I am going to have a test drive over the holidays.
I am based in Dubai - where the sun shines 99% of the time - but is incredibly sandy! He informs me the roof comes off with a section of levers, and as there is no crime here, it would be fine to leave with roof off on the days I use it. Have had a quick read on google, and it seems that it is fairly painless to remove and install the roof. Mate selling has had the roof off once in 9 years, as he is too precious over the sand getting in car. I think I also saw on one forum that the roof can be secured within the car - is that correct?
It is only going to be a toy for me - something different to drive to work some days. Question is value? What would one of these cost in UK? We are struggling to get any comparison vehicles for sale in UAE at the moment. If I know what the value is in UK (as I would consider bring back with me) it would give me a starting point.

Roof removal is really easy on these, and there is a place to stow it securely latched in the trunk, but at the cost of significantly reduced luggage space.
Pricing is often difficult, and will be very sensitive to condition and mileage. My guess would be a dealer would advertise for slightly more than £25k, and privately would be slightly less.

The max price I think it would sell for here is £15k so that is very interesting. I would be hoping to get for nearer £12.5k. This is based on nothing more than previous cars I’ve seen for sale - rather than anything current.

I noticed from another thread on the forum that there is quite a lot of changes needed for SVA (perhaps wrong term) to get Uk registered. Any ideas on ball park costs for changes ?
