Was out testing cars and ruling some out yesterday and one of the garages had a white ZR1 which was very impressive, std C7 or co6 was on my radar but knew nothing about this..

Are there any good reviews of it online?

Had a C5 and a C6 for a while but didn’t like the C6 much so I’d like to know if it moved things on (drive wise) didn’t have time to drive it but Sat in it, seats were sublime after the other cars (R8, Evora etc) and they were ventilated! Interior was a big step forward over C6, Liked the operating system to.

So any fodder to read and watch would be cool

I've got a C7 ZO6.....in a perfect world it would have been a ZR1 but too expensive to spec a new one and get it sent over.

I spent some time reading about them though

This ZR1 you mention, was it for sale or just owned by someone you know? I can't imagine there are many in the UK at all, I think they're technically illegal over here because of the height of the engine bump in the bonnet (or something like that)

Thanks thumbup

For sale at a dealer and In france actually, i assumed it was a zr1 due to its looks and the fact he said it had 700hp, ive only just started looking at C7s so not that clued up yet (plus it was difficult deciphering his french)

but it turns out its a Z06 Carbon 65 Edition, manual gearbox with full titanium Akrapovic exhaust, apparently a limited edition? (n°37 out of 650 in the world) 2017 with14 888 kms, warranty until October 2020, so a euro spec car i think.

Ahhhhh ok interesting. Was he selling it?
They are indeed limited editions, and manual gearbox is more desirable as well, so that would be a good find!
That said, I think any C7 Z06 is going to be pretty damn rare in the UK as I don't think there are that many around. I certainly didn't see many for sale in the months I was looking for one, so snapped up the one I did find as soon as I saw it.

Yes, for sale, 130k €

Theres a 2017 purple z06 in the uk for sale At £89k which i think might suit me better tho, its auto tho and ive heard its not brilliant? the one in france sounded so loud with the acropov on it, valves closed it still sounded ridiculously angry which would be tiring i think.

Well mine is an Auto....in an ideal world I'd have got a manual. But to be honest, it's so quick and powerful it's actually quite nice to be able to have it in Auto and just focus 100% on driving. You can put it in 'manual' and use the flappy paddles if you wanted.
If you track it in very hot conditions I've read that the Autos can overheat, but I doubt that's a problem in the UK, and again only if you track it hard.

Mine is totally standard and is certainly loud enough when you want it to be, but also the stealth mode is so nice and quiet if driving around London.
