I cant exactly answer your question, but my 2002 Z06 came from Texas and has a flood damage marker from 2004.

What is it about Texas? No idea lol

If its any help, my car has been very reliable and i dont regret buying it. (may change when i come to try to sell)

Edit: i wouldnt have been so quick to buy it if the damage had occured in just the last few years.

I would have thought that any flood damaged or salvaged vehicle will have to be bought at a 'keen' price as when you come to eventually sell it (as with any salvage titled car) you'll be 'knocked back' on selling price if the buyer does his checks properly. Water damaged cars often don't show issues to a few years later when corrosion of electrical connections create issues. A CCCUK member with a late model Vette (originally purchased in UK from a 'known' and presumed 'reputable' specialist Vette dealer). Dealer didn't seemingly disclose the Vette had been on the USA 'hit list'. Buyer 3 or 4 years later (wanted to PX the car against a later version) was offered a substantially reduced price against the newer one. It all went very legal with the selling dealer being accused of 'non-declaration of material facts'. Don't know the end result. On a couple of occasions we had 'newly joined' members trying to sell Vettes within club circles (and known as being hit-list cars) at top money, not declaring the salvage title. At least one ofr two C7's out there in the UK have been flood damaged. Be careful out there.

1 C7 on ebay at the moment, hidden in the description texas salvage title, problem also is when they are a bit cheaper some people think this reflects tyhe values of straight cars, C7,S should be making strong money at the moment as not everybody wants or can afford a C8

Is that a blue C7 perchance?
