My C5 has been off the road for coming on 6 months now with a cracked windscreen. You can still get a windscreen from GM but they no longer do the weatherstrip running along the top and down the two ideas. Neither it seems do anyon else in the World. I have been in contact with Corvette Rubber Inc. in USA who are working on this, for 2 years now, but were having problems getting the mouldings completed. That was a couple of months back and I have not heard a dicky since, Anyone in the same situation?

If you check the Facebook UK C5 owners page there is a link to a C5 being broken. Might be worth sending the place a message to see if they can salvage the part. They’d have to be extremely careful with removal with it being glued in place.

Thanks Minipower, yes I am aware of the difficulty of the job and I have been thinking of trying to find someone to cut my one off the C5. Struggling and now overtaken by house purchase and move.

Do you mean the big rubber molding OP? If so there is a used one on ebay but it’s 425 bucks. That does imply it is possible to get them out without mangling them?

Can you not get the installer to try to reuse your original one as a first attempt? I understand the mainstream fitters might insist on only new parts but there are plenty of people who can fit glass other than autoglass etc

I understand the house stress tho… lol

Edit - ok I see you have already thought of reusing. Did a little google on CF in the USA and there are a few threads about replacement and no mention whatsoever of the rubber moulding. One chap posted up his invoice which was itemised, again, no mention of the moulding.
