Had a good day at the Pod today.

Weather was sunny all day, wind was FFFFreezing and across the track so wasn't helping and there were literally hundreds of cars up there today.

The Basingstoke Posse and the Staines Massive got together for some runs. I only managed 3 runs in 5 hours there was that many people running. Didn't help some muppet dropped tranny fluid all down the track which took over an hour to clean.

Times were as follows:

12.91 at 114MPH, 12.86 at 113MPH and 13.03 at 112MPH.

Joe did a 12.2, Lou did a 12.5, Mr T. nearly got into the 12s with a PB of 13.02 and the Staines RR managed a PB of 13.13.

Well done to Mr T and Staines Massive for personal bests.

I took some of Richard's advice and recorded a new best reaction time of 0.781 on my last run, significantly better than my usual 1.2 !! Thanks Richard :insertworkingthumbsupsmiliehere!:

If only I hadn't miscalculated my fuel level I might have been the 3/100ths quicker on my first run and got into the 12s too. Yesterday was a bit of a found a fiver and lost a tenner day !

I managed to squeeze two more runs in after the yellow peril and clutch/cardbuster left for a total of six in the day.

I know that feeling, got a new PB of 13.13, a whopping
0.03s better than my previous of 13.16

It was a good crack and we had a great laugh, despite freezing winds and big delays.

Hey Louis,it was good fun racing you, BTW I'm available for driving lessons anytime...

Hi Richard
You were right it was great fun racing with you. I don't think that you need lessons any more than any of us do, what we all need is practice. BTW i was very impressed with your nitto's, did you manage to get another run in once we had left.

Hi Louis, I got one more run in, only 13.6 'cos I gave it too much gas off the line and wheelspun in 1st. Although much better than street tyres, the Nittos do need a good burnout to work properly and my times are still suffering due to problems with my B.O.

I've e-mailed Marc Haibeck about a line-loc kit,to cure my problem. Then again a bottle of Lynx might do...

Nice to see you Corvette Boys at the strip at the weekend. Especially liked the low black ZR1 with large split rim wheels, very nice looking machine.
I was running my 93 Camaro LT1 (purple pearl metallic and black roof) and ran 12.98, 12.92 and 12.92, a little off my best of 12.79, but not too bad. A mate of mine with a black 98 Camaro managed 12.5 on gas, a tenth off his best but close nevertheless.
We both run in the Street Machine Magazine Street Racer Championship, would be good to see you boys there again next year. We need some support to stuff the blue oval again like we did this year. But next year there will be a few more Fords out there so it would be good to get some decent GM backup!

I might well be up for the Street Racer's next year if I can get into the 12's...

I'll keep an eye out for you up the Pod, I plan to go to a couple more RWYBs this year.
