Recieved an email some of you might find interesting,

The new electrnic signs on the M4,switched on by some transport minister on Tuesday,,they are supposedly rigged with SPECS speed cameras.
SPECS is a camera based system,as you go past your No plate is read ,then when you go past the next sign it detects and reads your No plate again and works out your average speed.
The system is fully automatic and will issue a ticket automatically without any human intervention, there is no flash and no film either as they are digital.
Images of you in your car together with the date and time are stored on a disc and it works 24/7 ,365 days a year and the whole section of the M4 between Theale(J12) to Membury services (between 14 and 15) is wired,Both ways.
It is beleived the system is set to trigger at around 78mph.
Radar detectors wont work as SPECS is entirely passive therefore there is no radar or laser beam to pick up.

As i said i recieved this in an email today,as put.

Stop it! If I get another mail about these blinking cameras I shall climb down my broadband connection and appear at the other end like a genie ready to throttle the gullible sender of this nonsense

Please can you arrange a webcast ?
