Just about to join the A34 from the A339 this morning and I look to my right and see a 2001 Yellow Z06!!

It must be the guy from Kintbury, which begs the question which one is Claremont selling?

Whats it like driving the Corvette in Europe?

Its a blast here in the states yet it begs the question...

I haven't driven mine in Europe, only in the UK !

No problem here, it took a couple of weeks to get used to sitting on the other side of the car but as I've had years of experience driving on the wrong side of the road it was straightforward enough. The ground clearance of the 'vette is adequate but I'm glad about the spring on the front spoiler occasionally ! I get about 26 imperial MPG (approx 21.7 US) from my C5 Coupe so fuel consumption isn't too expensive even though fuel is about USD4.50 per US gallon. Insurance isn't too bad, the body is a good design which means I can carry a lot of junk and it is practical enough to be my only car.

The dealers are few and far between so there's a lot of self-help between owners. Our cars are rarer than Ferraris here so we get a lot of attention - a parade of a dozen a few weeks ago created a lot of jaw dropping and stares ! Its also fun when you find the boy racers who think that American cars can't go round corners !

Great to drive in the UK and Europe, only downside in UK is trying to get the ticket from the machine at the barrier of car parks! I drive a 1994 LT1 coupe vette and a 1997 SS Camaro (with a procharger), husband drives a 98 Pace car every day and has clocked up 100000 miles and loved every second. They've all been driven in France and Germany and this year took the 98 to Denmark, Sweden and Norway to follow the FIA drag racing series. They are still fairly rare in Europe so attract a lot of attention, if we had a $1 for every time someone takes a photo we could buy another one!

Have gone 15,000 miles in my 2003 MY Z06. I bought it in March in Maryland, it arrived in May and I have driven it everyday since. I took it to Le Mans this year and have also driven it thru Denmark, Sweden, Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium and France on the same trip!

The Z06 is extremely rare amongst the Corvettes in Europe. I only know of four other Z06s in the UK and I know of one in Germany.
