What plate will most suit the 620R, been trawling through the DVLA site and found a few.
I would love to have got FR16HTS but off to auction.
I have A7 ODO and C6SSE on the current two,was thinking about selling the C6SSE to fund it

Craig,

When I was thinking about buying a 620R I had a look around and found 620 RNO at new reg, but it does not seem to be available any more on their site.

They have plenty of others though, as always with these things depends on how deep your pockets are!

Give them a call and see if CAT 620R is available. If it is, they will put it into one of the coming auctions and you can bid for it.

That is how i got C 260 CSR for the minimum bid.

You just have to keep very quiet about it, as you don't want competing bids!

I was under the impression that DVLA wouldn't release these old style plates with the last digit being the letter that signified the year (1963-1984 or whatever period it was)?

What a nice dilemma to have!

I bought my reg (K800 RUM) for £250 some years ago. Trouble is most people don't get it until I explain & then they say that is clever.

What about asking the DVLA about 620R .

I asked about 1 XXX ( where xxx are my initials ) they put it in an auction about 12 months later and i got it for a relative steal ( 2008 when the the economy was down ) .

Yes I spoke to them yesterday and the plate will be released at some point to auction, up to eighteen months it'll take

I think a good plate adds a certain 'something'.. A mis spaced 'chav' plate doesn't...
FWIW, I bought my short plate before I had the cat. It was a cheap one from dvla off the shelf. Man maths tells me the short plate saves weight and mI proves aero, but I know it's nonsense...

It's quite fun looking for a cool plate. Go for it.

I am still feeling pleased with myself for getting N111AOW for £250 about 14 years ago. Looks a bit daft on the Land Rover, though frown
