If you are talking about the SP300.R, then I rest my case smile

Having never had anything to do with it I can't comment how well the paddle shift worked, only that the configuration demanded it, and it was dropped in the 620 cars.

I have had ZZS tyres fitted to my newly refurbed Rover Metro GTi alloy wheels since late August.

On September 1st I drove it to and from an old RAF airfield near Peterborough for a What Car? Car of the Year 40th anniversary photo shoot and has since been laid up under a full car cover. (Proper tailored one)

Earlier today I drove my car for the first time since then and the whole thing was shaking. Front and back. I fear, that for these newly fitted tyres that they have become egg shaped.

Anyone else known this?

As a tyre not intended for daily use, and will usually be sitting for periods of time, to lose their shape being so new is not good.

Not even 8 weeks.

As we're now heading to winter my ZZS shod car will be standing still for a good few months so I'd be really interested in thoughts on this short period flat spot issue.

Should I invest in another set of axle stands to get it into the air?

That's what I do, put the car on 4 stands. I remove the wheels, give the car a full spanner, check/change fluids etc then cover it.

If there is a spell of good, dry, salt free weather all I've got to do is put the wheels on and I'm ready to go.
