For your stated use, I'm pretty sure we'll see a a low mileage car up for sale quite soon. Your commute drive?, your having a laugh, remember we choose what weather we go out in, you'll have to put up with what's thrown at you, and a Caterham in the wet on a motorway is no place to be, let the aquaplaning begin.....

Hi Philip, look forward to updates on your 420R. I'm also planning on a test drive once the showrooms open. As ever, I'm prepared for a careful learning curve. One helluva power/weight ratio in these little pocket rockets so discretion the better part of valour smile

Firstly, Robert clearly wants to sell you a car - can't blame him - you sound like you have more money than sense.

Secondly, Caterham Silverstone know the square route of F-all about Caterhams.
Spoke to Caterham Cheshire - why do you say Silverstone don’t know much about Caterham.

Good decision on the Golf blue motion + Caterham - formidable combo, also good decision going 420 over the 620. Have a think about how much track time you will do as to R or S though. If you're going to track it R is a must from a safety perspective, if you're not the S is a much nicer road car.

As for Caterham Silverstone - they only opened as a dealer in 2019. And I've been there and spoken to them. These car's arn't complicated, but there are some subtleties to them that need to be grasped.
