I have a 1600 Crossflow with bench seats (a Classic SE to be precise). I had the engine converted for unleaded running in 2000.

Bench seats are fine for about 200 miles. After that, bums start going numb.

lol...

these where one up from bench - cloth seats. the drivers side didnt have a headrest as it fouled on the rollbar crossmember. dunno if it comes with the headrest as i needed to move the seat forward and looked like a headrest would clear where i had it.

Depends on the roll bar being used. If it is a higher spec FIA bar (required for motorsport and Lotus 7 Club track days), then a headrest comes as [art of the "bar" kit. However, the headrest supplied is pretty basic being, in effect, a bare metal plate. It needs customising by the purchaser to add suitable padding.

Limited tuning potential, all live axles, 8 valve Nova engine on carbs, a number are ex racers - price - about £9k for the very best, although optimistic sellers put them up for more!

Better off with a 1600 K Roadsport 5 speed - gives you de dion, modern chassis, scope for upgrade (but better that you sell and upgrade that way) and easy to live with
