High Performance Course.

Catherham made some cars they call HPC's, originally you had to attend a HPC driving course before they would sell you one.

The first HPC's were BD's the later ones were 2L VX, all running on Weber's (Although not sure if the injection model was also sold as a HPC)

Get yourself a copy of Chris Rees's book The Magnificent Seven, this book fairly accuratly charts all the Caterham models.
HPCs also could be had in w165 bhp injection form, but either Webbers or one converted to DTH throttle bodies is the way to go...

Just to close picked the R400 yesterday from Caterham, drove it north for 230 miles in one go, through rain, sun...car went like a dream....no aches and pains and I am 6'3"!!...car is quicker than my old VX....be interested to know difference with this and the new Duratec - why would I want to upgrade?

You SHOULDN'T. Yet.

Enjoy it, learn how to drive it. Then consider more if you feel it necessary.
