Hi,
Can anybody help I've got the most annoying rattle type noise in or around the dash area on my Sigma Roadsport its enough to drive you crazy. I've tried everything to find it, even to putting extra cable ties round anything thats likely to move. If anybodys got any ideas I would be very grateful.

Does the rattle get worse with revs?

Does the Sigma have a plug lead cover on the cam cover?

Hi Murph,
I don't think it gets worse with revs but it has got a plug lead cover.

Does it have a big red starter button?
If yes then place your finger on it when the car is running, they vibrate and can cause the sound you might have.

Quite probably doesn't affect Sigma engines, but if you get the rattle at stand still too, get someone to press on the plug lead cover and see if it goes away.

Think you're likely to have to spend some time trying to isolate it though.

Does it remain if you dip the clutch?

Hi Peter T
Yes I do have a starter button,I just fiddled with it in the garage tonight and yes it does rattle as you say. Didn't get a chance to try it on the road but that could be the problem, thanks.

If not starter button, maybe it's the end of a pop rivet rattling about?
To fix, squirt some gloop of some kind in the dash tubes, waxoyl or something.
