I shall be there with my father.
Had my first drive in the Seven this evening, so as not to look a fool when I jump in it on saturday and stall it! hehe
Anyhow, we'll be in a red '03 Roadsport. smile

Luke,
Don't worry, there'll no doubt be quite a few partners and children who've never driven one before. My first drive was the 10 yards from the parking area to the start of the slalom course, so you'll have a head start over me and quite a few others at least. Relax and enjoy the experience.
I'm driving my dark blue roadsport in the morning and marshalling in the afternoon, so I'll keep a lookout for you.

Hi Luke just enjoy yourself as I am sure you will not be the only one to stall if you do.

I remember the first drive in a Caterham on a slamom day I stalled it and once I started it I stalled it again as my legs had gone to jelly.

I will be in a yellow Superlight K16TOY.

Nathan. Snap on my first slalom! My everyday driver is a slushbox and I'd not driven a manual for a few years.
But no such pressure at Dunsfold as lots of family members get their first drive of a Seven there.
See you there.

We'll be there hooning around as usual - just relax and enjoy it - they'll be plenty of people making a fool of themselves (and enjoying doing so!) on their own without anyone noticing the odd stall! It is exactly what the day is about - relaxing and having a laugh, without having to worry about any rules or regs - you'll have a blast! We'll be in our blue 7:

Hi Guys,

Just bought a caterham but was unable to get onto the day. Is it worth coming along to watch and is there much there?

To be honest, I'm surprised he even let me drive it!
Although I think he's finally realised I have been driving 3 years now! hehe
Weather is looking pretty good as well, so hopefully shall be a good day!

Well guys, have fun?
I had an utterly brilliant time, drove my dad's car and a friends one (a 205bhp 40th Anniversary car).
Due to my experience I just fancied the 0-60 run as I wasn't quite up to chucking the car around with basically no experience, next time eh?
I did about 10 runs on the 0-60 and hit 5 sec dead (on the owners box of tricks) which I was mighty happy with! thumbup
His car was utterly, dementedly fast and in his hands did a 4.25! eek
But yeah, all round a top day, the 599 was gorgeous! cloud9
I just need a Seven now, I have the bug! biggrin/frown

You sir, are utterly demented! thumbup
The rate at which you launched off down the slalom was mad! hehe
Like I said above, due to my experience I was more than happy just getting some decent launches out of the car(s) I drove and that was enough for my mind to recalibrate to, let alone cornering at the speed you did! hehe
I'll try flinging it around next time!
