can i get away without a garage?

Mornign all,

As the title says really - can you own a Caterham / similar imposter without a garage?

It would be off the road but not garaged?

Any experience /advice?

Mine lived outside for 5 years and rusted badly. Part of that was due to it being a 97 car with the legendary bad paowdercoating. I also drove it in all weathers and had nowhere to wash off salt etc. If doing it again, I'd make sure I cleaned it after any wet/salty drives and every year get it up on stands and POR15 any rusty bits of the chassis.

I kept my 7 outside for 3 years with a Cover Craft cover.
No problem I did get some surface rust were the powder coat was coming off. (1990 car)
It still started on the button every time.
