Very close to have her up and running now...

Lot's of things changed on the car though, compared to this picture taken in the first week I got her, somewhere in 2009.
Most important change is the saying goodbye to the k-series in favour of a Duratec.

Finally registered on here after lurking for a while, and after posting about my broken electric windows over in the VW thread, thought I'd pop my head in here and say hello.
A few people might recognise the car and therefore me:
1995 1.4 Supersport
She needs a bit of attention, which will be carried out in a couple of months time between saving up for a wedding. I'm considering an aeroscreen.

Went to test drive this little Supersport today. Aeroscreens rule. I'm thinking of taking the windscreen out of my Honda Civic. What a fantastic car though. Like a lot of motoring press articles have said - and it sounds a cliche, but - it's a perfect match of power and grip. Enough power to keep things interesting in a straight line and to get the rear wheels spinning round corners. The rear tyres look skinny but the car wouldn't be anywhere near as much fun with wider ones. Very friendly 7. It just wants to play all the time. A serious "well done" to Caterham for this one. Just itching till I can sign on the dotted line.
Llandow a fortnight ago. Great day. Ruined tyres! and brakes!
I've been told that the completely stripped pad could be a sticky piston, but the disc appears to be moving freely and I had no trouble winding the piston back in. It wasn't pushing the destroyed pad against the disk either which makes me suspect that the pad had cracked and the material had come off. Either way, I'll be keeping a close eye on it

I've got a similar problem with my front brake pad. The pad material has split in two and has come away from the backing. Creates a nice squeak when it gets hot.
I've had it before on the rear brake but I think that this was due to the handbrake on hot discs, so now i just leave it in gear.
