Just got my car back from Tony at TSK in Sevenoaks, big thumbs up for his work and a thoroughly nice guy too.

What did you get done? Was it a full repaint / colour change or just some localised paint?

I really like that. I came close to buying a car very similar to that in the summer. Things changed but I still have a Caterham itch

Car was bare alloy before and although it looked ace when polished it was a lot of work to keep it looking good.

Had the body and bonnet painted and PPF applied.

Left the wheel guards and nose cone on bare carbon.

Speak to Tony for a price, he’s very competitive.

What sort of rough price is it to paint a Caterham?

Anything between £1k and £2.5k depending on who does it and how much of the strip down and rebuild you want to do yourself. Mine was just under £3k all in, as I had neither the time or inclination to get my hands dirty and I had a lot of extra bits done at the same time (such as the exhaust and manifold polished, stripes fitted, PPF etc).

This is what it looked like post the respray from metallic Viper Blue to pearlescent Renault Liquid Yellow.

We actually managed to get out quite a few times in 2020 despite lockdown!

We even managed a Socially Distanced day at Curborough too!

Then we also enjoyed a great day out at the Shelsley Walsh members day too!

Me and my mate we trying to figure out who’s plates in the wrong place... I’m guessing it’s mine (yellow one) and should be flush with the bottom?

After 17 years, I have rejoined the seven fraternity.
I have owned quite a few and feel it's time to enjoy myself again while I can still get in them.
2017 420R. Looking forward to the Spring!
