Our current 7, an ex academy car that I hope to race with my son next year.

Which series are you going to be racing in?

2 drivers can race together in CSCC Magnificent 7s - 40minute pit stop races

Thanks, I'll look into that. I was also looking at the 750 motor club roadsports series which is a similar format.

It is a similar format but I must admit that I would not want to race a 7 in a mixed grid of hot hatches, saloons and GTs but that might be just me. Plenty do, but I think you are a bit vulnerable in a 7 and it is not always easy to be seen.
I thoroughly enjoy racing in CSCC Magnificent 7s (an all Locaterfield 7 esque grid) and wish I had done it years ago. Good driving standards and it’s a good club.
Feel free to PM me if you want any more info rather than clog up this thread.

John Aston’s old car! I hope you’re enjoying it, it’s a great spec. Have you read John’s book, ‘Driven, an elegy to cars, roads & motorsport’? It’s a very enjoyable & interesting read, with lots of Caterham content. Recommended.

I’m glad you’ve read John’s book. I hope you’re enjoying the car. I love my 420R, the sound of the roller barrels is very addictive! biggrin

No, it's more green in real life, always looks darker in photos for some reason. It's colour matched from this 90's BTCC car.

Here's another pic, looks closer in this one.
