Appropriate - being it's a Lotus 6.

Maybe you are correct. TVR are also a small company by car manufacturing standards and have to evolve their cars from earlier models - just like Lotus did a generation ago and Caterham have tried to do in recent times. This is especially true of cars based on spaceframes.

Well chaps, I managed to find that Top Gear report on the Caterham 21 and have managed to digitise it oo.

It is 23.1Mb though, I'm afraid.

Click here - you may want to right-click and choose "save as".

(How long this link stays valid will depend on how much bandwidth gets used)

I must apologise for my earlier post where I said that Tiff had said the hood leaked. That must have been the Ginetta.

Well well - that was very interesting. I think good old Tiff hit the proverbial nail on the head when he highlighted the 21s shortcomings - none of which were to do with the car itself.

And wasn't it nice to see a fairly straightforward review rather than overuse of metaphor, simile and purple prose. I guess that was broadcast back in 1996.

Bring back a more sensible "Top Gear" I say.
