Ladies, according to Mrs ErnestM (fashion expert extraordinaire), the "in gowns" this year are from Gucci:

and the Versace Atelier line:

Gentlemen - feel free to beat me to a pulp for costing you a dress worth more than your car(s)

Cheers

I hate shopping for frocks - probably very unusual for a girlie. Might go and have a look at the latest range at Oxfam.

I will be wearing a dress, not a gown, probably go for red (i got there first! anyone else in red is copying me) and have already seen what I like, but its from a cheapy shop, and i think the occasion calls for a monsoon shopping moment, as ive never bought anything from there, yet always dream about it...
but,
Only women can read this.....
im worried about the whole "bra" thing, with showing straps and stuff, i cant just not wear one, anyone else have this problem?

Does the dress you have seen have straps?

How about one of those bras that have clear straps?

Debenhams also do what can only be described as the inners of padded bras that can be stuck on, so no straps at all, which could be an option as I have found that purely strapless bras just don't stay up.
